Site Title

ArkhivNet is a database of Russian archival documents which have been published in books and other collections, and which are therefore accessible to researchers without access to the archives themselves. ArkhivNet focuses primarily on publications since 1991 and recently declassified documents.

ArkhivNet is a work-in-progress. The size and functionality of the database will increase over time and, ideally, will include several additional features:

Searches, via the "Search" link in the menu to the left, may be conducted in English or Russian (Cyrillic only).

Note that this database will not provide the full content of listed documents, out of respect for publication copyrights. Rather, ArkhivNet is intended to be a bibliographic starting-point, where researchers may investigate primary sources already available in research libraries worldwide. However, links to electronically published documents are included in document listings.
